Seeds of Love

He sat on the bed and watched

Songs put her to sleep

Time would take so many things

But this was his to keep

They raced with the city lights

Through the streets they sped

They knew time was running out

The words were never said

Seeds of love, seeds of love

Planted in each other's heart

And thought their tears fell like rain

All they grew was apart

They held hands up to the gate

He tried to hold on

Letting go, she took her ticket out

He looked and she was gone

Seeds of love, seeds of love

Planted in each other's heart

And thought their tears fell like rain

All they grew was apart

Slowly he puts back the phone

Turns and walks away

And sometimes, she sits down to write

But there's too much to say

Seeds of love, seeds of love

Planted in each other's heart

And thought their tears fell like rain

All they grew was apart
